About Department:
The Department of Geography was established in 2002, initially offering undergraduate programs. The postgraduate program in geography began in 2010, with the first batch graduating in 2012. Since then, the department has been actively involved in research, leading to the establishment of the Shaheed Nandkumar Patel Vishwavidyalaya Research Centre in 2022. Notable faculty members such as Naresh Bhaskar, Dr. Roshan Namdev, Mrs. B. Khan, and Dr. N. Guria have made significant contributions to teaching and research. The department engages in society-focused research, including flood risk assessment, drought-prone zone identification, and analysis of climate change impact. To provide students and research scholars with a productive learning environment, the department is equipped with modern facilities such as smart classrooms, computer labs, Wi-Fi, and a state-of-the-art GIS laboratory.

Geography graduates are equipped for diverse roles such as GIS analysts, urban planners, environmental planners, and researchers.
