The Department of Chemistry at Chaitanya Science and Arts College, Pamgarh, observed National Pollution Control Day on December 2, 2024. The event began with Professor Rishabh Dev Pandey introducing the program’s objectives, emphasizing the significance of pollution control and environmental preservation for future generations. He highlighted the historical context of the day, commemorated in memory of the lives lost during the 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy. This year's theme, "Clean Air, Green Earth: A Step Towards Sustainable Living," set the tone for discussions.

Topics ranged from air quality improvement and waste management to sustainable practices. Standout participants included Sandhya Khunte, Bhoomika Chauhan, Archana Yadav, Prachi Sahu (B.Sc. Semester I), and Prachi Jangde, Rani Nirmalkar (B.Sc. Semester II).

Assistant Professor Bhavna Pandey discussed the ethical responsibilities of individuals and industries in reducing pollution and urged students to adopt sustainable habits in daily life. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Manoj Bandhle, Secretary of the Chemistry Council.
