Chaitanya College celebrated World No Tobacco Day. World Tobacco Prohibition Day was celebrated by the National Service Scheme Unit on 31/05/2019 in Chaitanya College Pamgarh. The college staff, including students and students of NCSE volunteers, took an oath that they will not consume tobacco and stay away from them. While administering the oath of the college, Virendra Tiwari said that every year World No Tobacco Day is celebrated according to a theme. This year also, the theme of No Tobacco Day 2019 has been kept as 'Tobacco and Lung Health'. No Tobacco Day i.e. World No Tobacco Day is celebrated on 31st May. On this day people are made aware to ban the consumption of tobacco or its products or to reduce the use. The purpose of this day is to make people aware about the health harm caused by tobacco. Dr. Narendra Nath Guria said that according to a report at present more than 70 lakh deaths are taking place every year worldwide due to tobacco. The youth should be especially aware of this subject. College staff including volunteers was present in the program.
