About The Event

The students of Chaitanya Science & Arts College Pamgarh performed the traditional Gedi dance on April 3, 2019. In this event Mrs. Renu Jogi, MLA Kota was present as the Chief Guest, Dharamjit Singh, MLA Lormi was present as Special Guest, Krishna Murti Bandhi, MLA Masturi, President Santosh Choubey, Chancellor Dr. C V Raman Vishwavidyalaya, special guest Vinay Upadhyay, art critic Bhopal, Professor R. P. Dubey, Vice Chancellor Dr. C V Raman University, Gaurav Shukla Registrar Dr. C V Raman University were present. The attractive and charming presentation of Gedi dance captivated the guests as well as the audience. Special honor was given to the students who performed Gedi dance. Gedi dance was directed by Mr. Sanjay Baghel. Gedi dance was performed by Devika Nirmalkar, Divya Sahu, Hina Kenwat, Aarti Karsh, Mahima Tandon, Ishwari Yadav, Kavita Kumhar, Sharda Tandon, Shyamata Tandon, Seema Sahu, Pushpalata Khare, Pratap Banerjee, Vikas Dinkar, Ajay Bhaskar, Ankit Sonwani, artists performed. Veerendra Tiwari, the Director of the College and Dr. Sharad K Bajpai, the Principal delivered a congratulatory message to all. Previously the students of Chaitanya Science & Arts College, also presented Gedi dance in other districts including Janjgir Champa. Studens have made constant effort to draw attention of the people towards Gedi. A special dance was performed for Hareli, a festival popular in Chhattisgarh.
