South Central Zone Cultural Center in Chaitanya Science & Arts College Pamgarh, Nagpur by artists affiliated to the Ministry of Culture gave a message of awareness about folk dance culture by presenting regional folk dance, performed by guests lighting the island on the oil painting of Mata Saraswati. Welcoming folk dance culture to the new generation and told it important to introduce folk dance. Principal of the institution, Dr. Sharad K Bajpai said that by performing folk dance, people get an opportunity to understand the folk dance of the state. Dr. Smt. Garima Tiwari said that folk dance is the identity of our state and country and it is a matter of pride to have such a unique program in Pamgarh. Meanwhile, traditional Raut dance of Chhattisgarh, Panthi dance, greetings prevalent in Madhya Pradesh, Norta, Berdi, Rajasthani dance Kalbelia, Chakri dance Bhavai dance Ghoomar dance by artists.
Tiger Nritya Ghanta Nritya performed the folk dance prevalent in Odisha. This unique event of this kind was held in the Chaitanya College campus of Janjgir Champa. Similarly, 1 year ago, Rajasthani artists presented Kalbelia, Ghoomar, folk dance and folk songs in Chaitanya College by Speck Mackay. College Director Virendra Tiwari and Dr. Smt. Garima Tiwari presented mementos to the artists and visitors. There was a lot of enthusiasm in the audience. The main objective of the event is to create awareness and attention towards folk dance art. College staff and students were present in this program along with the dignitaries of the area.
