About The Event

World Computer Literacy Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Tuesday at Chaitanya Science and Arts College (Autonomous), Pamgarh under the guidance of the Department of Computer Science. The main objective of the program was to enhance awareness among students regarding digital literacy, technical skills, cyber security, and responsible digital behavior.

The program began with the remembrance of Goddess Saraswati and the lighting of the lamp. Addressing the students, Principal Dr. V. K. Gupta stated that in the present era, digital skills have become an essential part of education, employment, administration, and daily life. He also administered a pledge to students for the responsible, safe, and ethical use of technology.

The Director, Mr. Virendra Tiwari, shared his views on the usefulness of computers and digital technology, emphasizing that computer literacy is extremely important for every student in the digital age. He highlighted that it not only enhances educational and employment opportunities but also increases awareness about online services, e-governance, and cyber security.

Mrs. Shubhada Joglekar, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, provided detailed information about the history, objectives, and growing relevance of World Computer Literacy Day in the digital era. To ensure active participation of students, speech and quiz competitions were also organized, in which students effectively expressed their views on topics such as digital literacy, cyber security, and responsible online behavior.

Mr. Dhaneshwar Suryavanshi, Head of the Department of Computer Science, along with faculty members Mr. Sarojmani Banjare, Mr. Salik Yadav, Mr. Indra Kumar Patel, Mr. Pragyesh Sao, and Ms. Sheetal Kashyap, encouraged students and highlighted the importance of MS Office, safe use of the internet, e-governance tools, basic programming, as well as emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Digital Marketing, Cyber Security, and Computer Networking.

The program was conducted by Mr. Indra Kumar Patel, Assistant Professor, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Sheetal Kashyap, Assistant Professor, Computer Science.
