Under the joint auspices of the Chemistry Council and Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the Chemistry Department of the College, Chaitanya Science and Arts College, Pamgarh, a lecture series was organized on the occasion of his birth anniversary in the memory of the former Principal of the college, Professor Sharad K. Vajpayee Vice Chancellor of Atal Bihari Vajpayee University Bilaspur Acharya Arun Diwakar Nath Vajpayee was present as the chief guest in the event. The program was presided over by Dr. Lalit Prakash Pateria, Vice Chancellor of Shaheed Nandkumar Patel University, Raigarh. Dr. Kiran Vajpayee, the wife of Late Professor Vajpayee and Head of Department of Chemistry, Government Bilasa Girls College, Bilaspur, Assistant Professor of Forestry Department, Guru Ghasidas Central University, Dr. Garima Tiwari, as special guests in the program. Professor HS.Hota, Dean of Atal Bihari Vajpayee University Bilaspur and educationist Vivek Joglekar were present. Professor Kallol Ghosh, Head of the Department of Chemistry, Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla University, Raipur, was present as the keynote speaker in the program. The program was inaugurated by lighting a lamp in front of the statue of Maa Saraswati. After lighting the lamp, the guests paid floral tributes in front of the portrait of Late Vajpayee. After that the guests were welcomed by giving small saplings. After the welcome, the introduction of the guests was provided by Dr. Garima Tiwari while giving a welcome speech. Remembering late Dr. Vajpayee, he said that he was such a personality who used to guide everyone and used to pave a new way to move forward.
After the welcome speech, Dr. Veenapani Dubey, the coordinator of the program, told about the background and outline of the program, the biography of Late Professor Vajpayee was informed to the gathering. He said that Dr. Vajpayee was like a sun whose light illuminated the entire college. He said that Late Dr. Sharad Bajpai held important posts in various colleges. Served as Professor in CMD College for 40 years. Sunderlal Sharma remained in the post of registrar in the university. Addressing the gathering, special guest of the program Dr. Kiran Vajpayee apprised the members about various aspects of late Dr. Vajpayee's life. Dr. Vajpayee was obedient to his father. In 1976, on the wish and order of his father, he gave up the opportunity of appointment through the then Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission and the opportunity of getting appointment in Jodhpur University. While working at CMD College, Bilaspur, he used to do experiments in the laboratories of University of Madras, University of Calcutta at regular intervals.
Dr. Vajpayee was an ocean of knowledge. He wanted the students to achieve success with hard work and honesty. He used to say that there is no shortcut way to success. To achieve success, it is very important to have patience along with hard work and honesty. He told that when Dr. Vajpayee joined Chaitanya Science and Arts College, Pamgarh as the principal, he was always excited to come to the college like a child. He used to express great happiness on seeing the interest in studies among the children of the rural areas. He had decided to give books for the college library. Dr. Vajpayee was sensitive to the education of disabled students. Special guest Shaheed Nand Kumar Patel University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Lalit Prakash Pateria while addressing the meeting said that the personality of late Dr. Sharad Bajpai was immense. It cannot be contained in two words or a book. Our coming generation should take lessons from his personality and follow the path shown by him. The Chief Guest of the program, Dr. ADN Vajpayee, Vice Chancellor of Atal Bihari Vajpayee University, in his address recalled the time spent with late Dr. Vajpayee and said that he was like my elder brother. He was our guide. He said that Dr. Bajpai was such a simple person who never used to praise himself. He was a complete human being.

He told that he was fond of listening to music. When we were at one place, there was a separate list of songs to be heard in the morning, afternoon and evening. He said that late Dr. Vajpayee was the master of self-centered resolved dedicated personality. We need to learn from late Dr. Sharad Vajpayee how to live each and every moment of life.     Only a good person can beautify various posts and enrich his work. Late Dr. Sharad Bajpai was also such a good person who provided a good education to all the students. He introduced the nuances of chemistry through power point presentation. He said that in the present scenario there is a need for multidisciplinary research. He explained in detail about the role of chemistry in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. He said that research is a continuous process. Director of the organization Virendra Tiwari said that late Dr. Vajpayee will always be remembered for his cheerfulness. Thanked the organizing committee for organizing the lecture series in his memory. After the guest speech, the guests were honored by the director of the organization by giving memento shawl and quince.                                                                                            
At the end of the program, the principal of the institution did a vote of thanks through an online meeting platform from the United States of America. In his address, he said that late Dr. Vajpayee was described as a lover of excellence. He said that late Dr. Vajpayee had taken the college to great heights with his sincere efforts. YouTube streaming of the entire program was also done. The stage operation in the program was done by the coordinator of the program, Professor Veenapani Dubey. The technical assistance of the program was provided by Dr. Narendranath Guria and Sarojmani Banjare, Assistant Professor of Computer Science Department, Dr. Vinita Tamarkar and Rishabh Dev Pandey, Assistant Professor of Chemistry Department, and Abhishek Pandey, Assistant Professor of Social Work Department, in making the program successful. There was a special contribution of all the professors and Raseo Swayamsevaks including Program Officer Sanjay Baghel. All the professors, officers, employees and a large number of students of the college were present in the program.
