Blood donation camp Organized by NSS Unit of Chaitanya Science & Arts College in Collaboration with Ayushman Blood Bank Champa and Ashirwad  Foundation     A blood donation camp was organized on 30.03.2022 in Chaitanya Science & Arts College Pamgarh under the collaboration of National Service Scheme Unit of the college and Ayushman Blood Bank Champa and Ashirwad Foundation. Along with the Chief Guest Dr. Hemant Lahere, Pamgarh hospital, Dr. V.K. Gupta, Principal of the institution, D. Yadav, BMO Pamgarh, Dr. Pragya Tamrakar, Medical Officer Pamgarh was present in the camp. Dr. Mukesh Sahu, Medical Officer, Pamgarh, Dr. Basant Bhardwaj, M.S. Orthopedic Pamgarh, Dr. Shreesh Kumar Mishra, Assistant Professor of Forestry Department of Guru Ghasidas University Bilaspur, Dr. Garima Tiwari, Assistant Professor of Forestry Department of Guru Ghasidas University were present as special guests. Mr. Veerendra Tiwari presided over the program by donating first. Highlighting the importance of human blood, Dr. Gupta said that in every two minutes due to lack of blood, many people lose their dear ones. Addressing the program all the guests motivated the youth to donate blood. Mr. Veerendra Tiwari, the director of the college, said that donating blood can be a way to make a place in people’s hearts. Donating blood can make a place not only in the heart but in the whole body. While donating blood himself, he encouraged the visitors to the camp to donate blood. 72 donors donated blood in the camp. A large number of the blood donors were female students. Many students shared their experiences while donating blood for the first time. In the camp, 188 students got their blood group checked. Rishabh Deo Pandey, Assistant Professor of Chemistry Department, conducted the stage and at the end thanked Dr. Shaily Ojha, Assistant Professor of Hindi Department for her assistance. Along with NSS volunteers, camp Ayushman Blood Bank Champa and Ashirwad Foundation officials, all the staff and senior students of the college played an important role in making the program a success under the leadership of Sanjay Baghel, NSS Head and the program coordinator.
