A special program was organized at Chaitanya Science and Arts College, Pamgarh, to celebrate World Quantum Day. It is notable that the United Nations has declared the year 2025 as the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology.
In this context, a panel discussion was held with the presence of the institution’s Director Mr. Virendra Tiwari and Principal Dr. V.K. Gupta. The event began with the lighting of a lamp in front of the statue of Goddess Saraswati.
In his address, Dr. Gupta spoke about the theme of World Quantum Day 2025, "Every Day in 2025," emphasizing the crucial role quantum technology plays in shaping the future of science and innovation. He highlighted its importance in all areas of life and encouraged students to actively engage with quantum-related activities and explore opportunities in the field.
Mr. Tiwari, the Director, elaborated on the progress and applications of quantum computing, quantum communication, and quantum sensing, stressing the need for interdisciplinary research and collaboration to fully harness the potential of quantum technologies.
Senior Physics Professor Mr. Vivek Joglekar also shared his views, stating that quantum technology is not just the future of physics but a bridge between imagination and reality. Concepts that once existed only in theory are now powering real-world innovations. He called it a golden era for young minds to be part of this scientific revolution.
Students presented posters related to the topic and shared their thoughts as well. The event was conducted by Assistant Professor of Chemistry, Mr. Rishabh Dev Pandey, and the vote of thanks was delivered by the event coordinator and Assistant Professor of Physics, Ms. Preeti Bhardwaj.
